Dear Members,

Thank you for a strong attendance in our February meeting.  I also would like to thank Blue Shield of San Francisco for hosting us.

I am excited to invite you to our March 12th all-day workshop on Data Interoperability.  This is an increasingly important topic as more and more companies are evaluating how to implement services oriented architecture, in addition to the importance of data interoperability for data warehousing and master data management.  You can find more details about this event at http://www.sfdama.org

Because this is an all day workshop, space is limited and registration is required.  For DAMA members, registration will be $100/student, which I hope you will agree is a great deal for an all day workshop.  Our  instructor is Michael Gorman who is a recognized speaker, trainer, and consultant from Maryland.  He has been involved with database technology since 1969 and is a charter member of X3H2, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) National Committee on Information Technology Standards (NCITS).

I will keep this month's message brief and ask that you check out this workshop and also pass it on to colleagues that may be interested.

Two reminders:
Annual DAMA-I conference will be in San Diego in March.  You can obtain more information at
Also, we will have chapter board member  elections at our April meeting.  Stay tuned for more information o n  this..

Looking forward to seeing you at the event.
