2011: The Year of Data
Virtualization can deliver agility in data management at a
significantly lower cost. Data Virtualization adoption has
reached a tipping point in 2010-11. This session explores the
What, How, and Why of Data Virtualization from several
perspectives: Data Virtualization definition and concepts, the
technology and its maturation, use cases driving demand (BI,
Customer 360, Cloud & Web, Big Data, “virtual” data services,
etc.), customer success and best practices. It provides both a
short-term and long-term roadmap of how to use Data
Virtualization for stand-alone projects and add new
capabilities to your information architecture.
